Our Philosophy
As dedicated childminders working together we provide a caring home from home environment where every child feels valued, secure and supported. Guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) we work in partnership to nurture each child's individual development through play, exploration and meaningful experiences. Our shared goal is to create a welcoming space that feels like an extension of the family home where children can grow in confidence, curiosity and independence at their own pace. Cooking fresh food daily using locally sourced ingredients to provide healthy nutritious meals and snacks to support development.

I started my childcare career at the children's centre working with targeted families in St Albans. I went on to qualify at level 3 in Early Years whilst working as a teaching assistant at a local primary school where I worked in nursery and reception for 8 years and qualified in my level 4 Early Years Educator. I started my childcare career at the children's centre working with targeted families in St Albans. I went on to qualify at level 3 in Early Years whilst working as a teaching assistant at a local primary school where I worked in nursery and reception for 8 years and qualified in my level 4 Early Years Educator. I went on to help create a youth club for young people aged 10 to 18 years supporting disadvantaged families within St Albans. I am now very excited to start Little Lambs with Theresa where we aim to deliver the best possible care, nurture and development for children.

My career in childcare started in 1979. I completed a course in home management and family care. A short while after I joined Cell Barns Hospital as a nursing auxiliary working with children with disabilities and special needs. In 1991, whilst raising three children, I formed and managed two residential care homes caring for young people
My career in childcare started in 1979. I completed a course in home management and family care. A short while after I joined Cell Barns Hospital as a nursing auxiliary working with children with disabilities and special needs. In 1991, whilst raising three children, I formed and managed two residential care homes caring for young people with learning disabilities until 2014.
In 2022 I joined the Lodge nursery looking after children aged from birth to five years old till 2025. I am now very much looking forward to continue caring for children as a co-founding member of Little Lambs together with Sarah in our new chapter.
